Cardiac Scoring is offered in our CT scan suite using our 16 slice CT scanner. When a patient arrives in our suite, a CT professional greets the patient and escort him/her to our exam room. The patient lies on the CT table and will be hooked up to a heart monitor machine. The technologist obtains images of the arteries in the heart. Once the patient leaves the suite, the images will be processed using a special program that analyzes the amount of plaque. |
