Women experiencing complications during pregnancy can turn to the maternal fetal medicine specialists at Crozer-Chester Medical Center to help co-manage their care. Our specialists have performed a fellowship in the care of the high risk pregnancy– those that put the mother or unborn baby at a serious health risk. Specialists in maternal fetal medicine are available 24-hours a day to consult with other physicians and care for patients.
The following conditions generally indicate a high-risk pregnancy:
-
Diabetes
-
Kidney disease
-
High blood pressure (hypertension or pre-eclampsia)
-
Multiple births (twins, triplets, etc.)
